About Kedarnath, Guptkashi & Chopta–Tungnath Trail:
This spiritually enriching journey through Uttarakhand beautifully blends mythology, nature, and high-altitude adventure. The pilgrimage begins at Gaurikund, where devotees encounter the fascinating natural phenomenon of sacred hot and cold water springs, believed to possess both scientific and spiritual significance. The trail then leads to the revered Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and believed to have been established by the Pandavas after the Mahabharata as an act of penance for their wrongdoings.

The journey continues to the serene Guptkashi Temple, where Lord Shiva is said to have concealed himself when the Pandavas sought forgiveness, making it an important spiritual stop. Moving further into the Himalayas, travelers reach Chopta, fondly known as the “Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand.” Situated at an altitude of around 13,000 feet, Chopta offers breathtaking panoramic views of majestic peaks such as Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch, and Chaukhamba.

The experience is completed with a visit to the sacred Tungnath Temple, one of the highest Shiva temples in the world, accessible via a scenic trek. DAY 1 - Haridwar/Rishikesh To Guptkashi, Stay In Hotel

Early morning pickup from Haridwar / Rishikesh.
Begin the scenic drive toward Guptkashi.

En route pass through Byasi, Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, and Agastmuni.

DAY 2 -Move To Guari Kund And Trek To Kedarnath, Stay In Camp

Early morning departure toward Gauri Kund.

Begin the trek from Gauri Kund to Kedarnath.

DAY 3 - Offering Prayer To Kedarnath Temple And Descends To Guptkashi And Move To Sari Village, Stay In Sari Home Stay

Early morning visit to Kedarnath Temple.

Begin the descent from Kedarnath to Gauri Kund.

Drive from Guptkashi to Sari Village (approx. 26 km).

DAY 5 - Deoria Tal Trek I Departure

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and prepare for the trek to Deoria Tal.
Begin the 2.5 km trek through lush greenery and scenic trails.

Afternoon:

Reach Deoria Tal and marvel at the pristine lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

Start the trek back and arrive at Sari Village around 10:00 AM.

Evening:

Pack your luggage and depart from Sari Village around 10:30 AM by car toward Rishikesh.
Upon reaching Rishikesh, switch to a bus for the onward journey.
