Kedarkantha Trek

Early Morning:

Get ready for the final and most exciting challenge of the trek. The Trekify team begins preparations around 2:00 AM. After an early wake-up and light refreshments, start the summit ascent towards Kedarkantha Peak. The climb takes approximately 5 to 6 hours to reach the summit at an altitude of about 12,500 feet.

Summit Experience:

As the sun rises, witness a magical play of filtered golden rays over the Greater Himalayas, often referred to as the crown of the region. Upon reaching the Kedarkantha summit, you are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of majestic Himalayan peaks spread across the horizon—an unforgettable moment that truly makes the effort worthwhile.

Afternoon:

After spending some time at the summit, begin the descent back to Kedarkantha base camp. Lunch will be served at the base camp, followed by a continued descent towards Juda Ka Talab.

Evening:

Arrive at the Juda Ka Talab campsite by evening. Relax after a long day of trekking, enjoy dinner, and settle in for an overnight stay at the camp under the starry Himalayan sky.

Morning:

After breakfast at Juda Ka Talab, pack up and begin the trek towards Kedarkantha Base Camp. The trail gradually ascends through scenic forest sections and open clearings, offering beautiful mountain views along the way.

Afternoon:

The trek from Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp covers a distance of approximately 4 km and takes around 3 hours to complete. Kedarkantha Base Camp is situated at an altitude of about 11,250 feet and offers stunning views of prominent Himalayan peaks such as Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, and Kala Naag (Black Peak).

Evening:

Upon arrival at the base camp, the team will serve hot and nutritious meals. Spend the evening resting and acclimatizing in preparation for the summit climb. Enjoy dinner at the campsite and settle in for an overnight stay at Kedarkantha Base Camp, getting ready for the midnight ascent to the summit.
